When you have my luck...

it's good to be able to expect the unexpected. You won't BELIEVE what happened today. I was driving to tuition and the engine started smoking. Seriously, my dad has not been gone 4 days and the car has started playing up. God hates me. You think two ASIAN women know how to handle a smoking car??

You know me, my car knowledge is pretty much zilch, but I knew enough to know that the radiator needed water. The only problem was to work out where it was! You'd think I'd know, but clearly not. Somewhere under the bonnet? It was pretty smoky but I managed to work out how to open the damn thing. Then I went poking about till I found an empty compartment which I assumed was where the water was supposed to go.

I'd pulled over next to an oval so I went to the public toilets to get water but it was locked. Then my mum asked this guy who had just happened to park ahead of us who just happened to know the person living across the road and knew where the radiator was.

We got water into the tank drove off thinking everything was fine. Oh NO! Things don't just go wrong when I'm around; they turn into major disasters. I swear to God, Bessie the Bomb hates me because noooo, it wasn't just a simple matter of pumping water into that bitch; a pipe was broken so all the water leaked out and we were back to square one in a matter of minutes. Luckily I was pretty close to my tutor's house so I drove there and let mum deal with the car.

She was all for letting The Bomb sit there for 2 weeks until my dad comes back from Malaysia and then to make him walk from Box Hill to Wantirna and pick it up. Hehe. I would have backed her. Thankfully she had the bright idea to call RACV and get them to tow it to a mechanic but she's going to give Ba whatfor when he comes home. HAH!

Love,
Mel
