SEVENTEEN!

I had a surprisingly good birthday today. I was preparing myself for disappointment and that's probably why it was so much better than I expected. Tara and Ashley decided not to come coffee-ing with me so I went by myself just before I was supposed to be in school. I walked down to the train station and much to my surprise, Ashley and Tara were sitting there with hot chocolates in their hands. I thought they were going on date...without me! Oh the meaness. Turns out I'd ruined my own surprise and they were just there to buy cake. I spent the rest of that train ride apologizing for turning up for school at the time I did. Actually, I don't mind that the surprise was spoilt. Makes it all so much funnier...somehow.

Chem was good, even though I had a prac. Beating Ashley by one mark on our test was really the icing on the cake. Lost a mark for forgetting to put the state on one of the precipitates in my equation...dammit could have gotten 100%. English was alright....

Anyway, my luverly friends bore gifts to be bestowed on the unwitting birthday girl. Thanks to Chan and Ying for the knitted cap...perfect for winter and in my favourite GREY! Thanks Rowena for the cardigan, it's really soft and I'm going to wear it heaps! Thanks Tara, Ashley, Victor, Yen Nie and Alvin for the magazine subscription, you know I love that stuff. Especial thanks to Audrey and co for the amazing books :) I came home and just started reading. Thanks Audrey for coming to school to say happy birthday and give me my present. Really sorry I couldn't stay longer, but I hope you know I really appreciate it...LOVE YOU! Thanks to everyone who sang me a happy birthday, wished me happy birthday, gave me a hug or all of the above! I had a really great day. Last year's birthday was really lonely what with my parents being away, and I'm glad you guys are celebrating my birthday!

Hope I haven't forgotten anyone!
