First Day Woes

Back again, to the crap hole that is high school. I can't believe I'm in year 12. I can't believe most of our group have gone to a better place. It's really lonely, when we look at our diminished group and think longingly about the freedom of uni holidays that half of us are enjoying at the moment. Farewell Audrey, Chris, Tim, Rachel and Roswin, you will be sorely missed. Geez, I make it sound like they've died [touch wood]. Jeremy and Ashwyn aren't around either, but nobody really misses them all that much.

The scariest thing about first day is going to your new classes, walking through the door that first time and scanning the room, looking for someone, ANYONE that you know, so you can pretend like you have friends. I walked into english, and there was nobody. I was panicked for a second, but then i realized Chan was there...THANK GOD. Kymbat and Tara are in my Physics so that's good as well.

I've promised myself that I'm going to put my head down and study like a maniacal slave driven beast. No joke. If most of my scores are in the high 40s then theres a slight chance I may get over 99. I say slight because I'm a total dumbass and I can't really do anything right, at all. I'm aiming for [raw] over 45 for chem and physics, over 40 for spesh [little to no hope there] and HIGH 40s for english. Just one more year....

Love,
Mel

Difficult decision-making

Query: Which to choose? Criminal Minds on Seven, Law & Order: Criminal Intent on Ten or CSI on Nine?

Solution: The one with the most interesting cause of death.

Why do they have so many of these crime shows at the same time huh? Too confusing...

Malaysia Part 2

I went to Kuala Lumpor and stayed at Tara's mansion. I couldn't stop staring at their Benz...it's so...beautiful. It really stood out though, when we were driving around the streets, everyone kept looking and it made me feel like a fish in a fishbowl.

I didn't stay there for as long as I wanted because my uncle wanted to go back to Penang early, but we visited most of the major shopping centres around KL. I can now proudly say I've been to Midvalley Megamall, Sungei Wang, Sunway Pyramid, the Pavilion (it's all designer goods though), the Digital Mall, and anothing one I've forgotten the name of. I've also been to Queensbay (Penang) and the Pacific Mall (somewhere). Woohoo, spent so much money. I so want to go back next year for Chinese New Year!

Tara, Anil, Darryl and I hung out at Sunway Lagoon for half a day. It was lot's of fun, even though the rides were pretty mediocre. We saw this ride that looked like a pirate ship (you know the ones that go back and forth?) so I insisted that we all go on it, and sit right at the end. We were watching the people before us go and the pirate ship swung almost vertical a few times, then flipped right over. After that, we all had second thoughts. When it was our turn to go, we all sat in the middle, hoping in vain that we wouldn't swing so high.

Oh My God the chest bar that came down over our heads was in totally the wrong spot. Seriously, it was practically crushing my...yeah, very painful. Anil told me the bar over the thighs were crushing his balls. Too much information I think.

We went to this mall and Anil had to buy boxers. Tara and I both decided we also wanted boxers to wear to sleep as well so Darryl bought us a pair each. They're very comfy, except they have this hole in the front, and Tara and I had no idea what they were for. Anil very kindly informed us it was for peeing out of and he was scared his thingy might flop out while he was watching tv or something. Needless to say I was totally disgusted.

Ok, that's it from me about Malaysia. I'll probably blog again later about the last 3 days.

Love,
Mel
