rain on me

They're gonna stick me!

Oops, haven't updated for donkey years. People I don't usually talk to have been asking me about what's going on in my life so I figured now is as good a time as any to talk about myself some more.

I have to get my wisdom teeth pulled, which means surgery and general anesthesia for me. So not looking forward to it. It hurt quite a bit last time actually, especially the whole needle in crook of arm bit. Don't worry, I've got AGES to think about it. I'm getting it done in early December and recovery should be about a week so hopefully I'll be ready to pig out on Christmas Day.

It's only the second week of school and the homework is starting to pile up. I'm really regretting not attempting to catch-up during the holidays.

Work is going good. It's not that strenuous. The only problem is that I think I'm beginning to get a coffee addiction. Every time I go into the kitchen I feel like having coffee. Have you ever looked at food and thought you could taste it in your mouth then realized you REALLY wanted to eat it? Yeah, it's that feeling. I'm too young to be addicted! On Saturday, I made my first professional coffee and the milk I pulled was very good according to the boss. It was nice and frothy. Accidentally pressed the wrong button so it was super strong. I LOVE filling up the coffee grinder, smells SOOOOOOOOO good.

Recently, I've been pestering Jeremy for details of his yet-to-be-commenced [so he says] romance with Rowena. We argue a lot and I think he is as pissed off at me as I am of him. Everyone thinks there something going on because they're getting very sneaky....

Just got back from tuition. It was really fun. I sat with Alvin which generally makes a bad combination because we always laugh and talk a lot. Even Chan and Ying kept turning around to join in. Alvin had just bought a book about the top 1001 books to read before you die so we were having a flick through that and laughing at the weird names and even weirder pictures; eg. Fanny Hill which included a drawing of this man spanking a woman. We all get along so well so it was really fun. Now Alvin has made me want to eat toffee apples. Summer! Then we had a discussion about music, and sang really old songs by the Beatles like Eleanor Rigby and Yesterday.

Can't wait till the deb ball. I'm going to have so much fun! I should drag Shim shopping with me to make sure I don't buy shoes that make me taller than him. I saw a few nice pairs with by C'est le Bon at the Pines but they were $70 a pair! The Pines also has a Wittner but for shoes that expensive, I would expect something a bit better than what they've got. Tsk, so much to do, so little time!

With love,
Mel
