Oh Happy Day!
Yeah, it's pouring down with rain and I'm in a good mood. This is a first! I woke up at about 7 for piano. After that, I got ready to go shopping for a debutante dress with Rowena! She was running late because she had to give everyone lifts. Martin caused us to take an extra 15 minutes getting to Elgar Rd. Rowena's rock star cousin from England came shopping with us as well. Forgot his name, but I wasn't kidding about him being a rock star. Rowena's dad drove us to Sydney Rd in Brunswick. He and rock star cousin complained about the number of shops we went into and how long it was taking. Yeah. Typical.
To tell you the truth, I'm not such a great shopper either. I never usually set out on massive shopping expeditions and I have never come home with more than 2 shopping bags full of clothes.
Aaaanyway, deb dress shopping is tedious work. Rowena tried on a dress from this one shop which I though looked awesome on her. I think her dad was expecting me to try on something too, but I didn't. Then I felt weird haha. We went into another shop called Whisper of Love where I found a dress that looked pretty good but the only one in my size was black. I tried it on and it looked alright so when they get the Size 8 in white (Saturday) I'll go back and get it. It was less than 300 bucks! Score! That was the first deb dress I tried on. I'm so relieved.
I think Rowena's getting her dress custom made. Man, she's going to look SOOO good. I think we might be going back again next week so I'll pick up the dress I want then. We also went to another shop and I tried on a $700 strapless dress which laced up at the back just to see if it would stay up. If it wasn't $700 I would've got that one. It was SO pretty! I was SO pretty! I have such a big head...
To top it all off, we had hot chocolate and cookies! The hot chocolate was SO much better than Ashwyn's one. Yum. We then went back to the shop Rowena was interested in but it was closed. Then, WE BOUGHT 10 DOLLAR DRESSES! One each, different styles of course. Rowena's one is black and mine is....
pwetty isn't it? And NOW, for the BEST news of all! I think I MAY have a job at Michel's Patisserie! You know how I've been pestering Alvin for ages to ask his parent's for a job for me? Well he told me there was an opening, so today, I walked in with my dodgy (and empty) CV and just asked. I have to go back tomorrow for a crash course in customer service...and if I'm any good...hopefully I have a job. YAYNESS! Once I'm confidant about actually working there, I'll tell you where it is. But for now, NO WAY!
With happy, sunshiny, rainbowy, buttercups and field mushroom love,
