Mel's got a REAL job!

YAY! I definitely have a job. Got there at 11am really freaked out, but I went up to the counter and said I was supposed to have a shift and it was my first day. The girl was really nice and asked if I wanted to wait for the bosses to come or just start. I said I'd wait but my dad yelled at me when I tried to follow him so I just went back and started working. Haha, started waitressing and taking out the coffee's straight away because I didn't know how to do anything else.

I was packing away some glasses and I broke one. It was a latte glass. I held it upside down by the handle and the glass slipped out of the base. Yup, learned rule number one right there: never hold a latte glass upside down by the handle. I was sweeping up the glass when the bosses arrived so that didn't look too good.

Well, doesn't matter...I HAVE A JOB! That's what counts! Still don't know how to use the cash register properly. I have to remember where all the buttons for the stuff is, other than that, I'm fine. It's so cool! Tells you how much change to give out. I burnt myself twice on the hot food trays, and my glasses steam up every time I empty the dishwasher. Oh FUN-NESS!

I bet I won't be enthusiastic about the whole job thing in a month...but DAMN, Michel's patisserie is a cool place to work! All that cake, and how I love my cake.

Did I mention, there's a UNIFORM? White shirt and a cute little red apron. Hahaha!
